Date Unknown / Dinnyés Ferenc
Collection: The Helen Pearson Bookplate Collection

A pictorial-style bookplate in black ink on ivory paper with a line border. The central image is of a female figure in a knee-length dress with a zigzag pattern along the waist and bottom edge. She is standing on one leg with the other bent back, and is leaning backwards with one hand outstretched and the other raised above her head, which is tilted back. She is standing on a book that is open slightly more than ninety degrees, and there is another half-open book to the right of it. There are concentric octagonal shapes behind the woman, framing her upper body and radiating outwards. Within the smallest hexagon is the inset text "Ex libris," and a text box beneath bears the name Villányi Á in block letters.
