A pictorial-style bookplate in black and yellow ink on ivory paper. the central image is printed in black on a rectangle of yellow, featuring an image of an Egyptian boat on zigzag lines representing water. The boat has an elaborately patterned sail, with triangular patterns on the bow and stern, and below a kneeling figure who is holding a rudder. Under the zigzag lines are five fish facing right, and above the image are two rows of hieroglyphics. At the bottom of the bookplate is space where the owner's name could be written.
