A copy of a preliminary pictorial-style bookplate design in gray ink on ivory paper with a line border. There is a drawing of a landscape, with a path leading through two stone fence posts towards the horizon. There are several trees in the background, and a single large cloud in the sky. At the start of the path is a space for a name sketched in pencil, with "name" written inside it. Handwritten in pencil on the back of the bookplate is the text "Copy of preliminary sketch... This design is for sale as it is for $20, including lettering of name."
