A pictorial-style bookplate in black ink on ivory paper with a border of large block letters reading "Ex libris J.F. Kayser" and "Aut Caesar aut nihil," which translates from Latin to "either Caesar or nothing." The central image is of a lion fighting a bull, with the lion on the head of the bull and biting its neck. In the background is a palm tree with three coconuts. Handwritten on the back in pencil is a note which reads "fm J.B. Bulder, Holland, woodcut."
