A pictorial-style bookplate in black ink on ivory paper with a line border. At the top is a text box which reads "Ex libris Augusto N. Pereira." The central image is of a three-masted ship with a cross on each sail. The background is black with a single star with rays of light coming from it, and there are stylized waves in the foreground. In the foremost wave is the text "EAMVS!" which translates from Latin to "I'm sorry!" In the upper left is a signature which reads "NP."
