The border contains elaborate text, as well as astrological symbols in the four corners. Clockwise from top left they are the symbols for Pisces, Gemini, Libra, and Sagittarius. The top of the border contains the symbols A and Ω. Text on the left and right side read "Daylight meteor, Nov. 15, 1936, 10 AM, Portsmouth, N.H." There is a text box below the meteor, and above it is the text "Witnessed & Painted" then "by Helen Pearson" within the text box, and "Who owns this book" below it. Inset in the image of the meteor is "copyright 1927" in hand writing.
