A pictorial-style institutional bookplate in black ink on ivory paper with an elaborate archway framing a drawing of a woman and child. The woman is holding a torch aloft and leading the child by the hand towards a building. At the top of the arch is the text "School for the Blind, Overbrook Pennsylvania," and at the bottom is the library's name. Above the arch are two mer-children flanking a medallion that reads "Lux ex tenebris," which translates to "Light from the darkness."
