A pictorial-style bookplate in black ink on ivory paper. There is a detailed drawing of four women in belted robes dancing in a clearing inside a columned frame. Above the frame are two figures on either side of a medallion that reads "Nietzsche Zarathustra." They are reaching over the medallion to catch a butterfly. In front of the frame is an open book with lit candles in ornate candle holders on either side. Beneath is the text "Ex libris Sallie W. Hovey.
