A typographic-style bookplate in black ink on white paper with a border patterned with ovals and small circles, with stylized anchors in each corner. The text reads "From the Library of Louis J. Bailey." In the center of the bookplate is a small illustration of an open book with eight bookmarks between various pages. Above and beneath the text are simple, botanical scrollwork designs. Handwritten on the back of the bookplate is "Typographic; Anthoensen, Fred; 1947, Portland, ME; Louis J. Bailey."
