Two Children Posing
1905 / Postal Card Company
Collection: Henry Clay Barnabee Collection
A postcard featuring an illustration of two black children, a boy and a girl, wearing white clothing. They are posed as if dancing, and the girl is holding a fan. A handwritten note on the front reads "Am sending in the same mail your glasses. Yesterday was the worst day of all, hope you escaped it. But today is simply perfect. We miss you all very much indeed. Aunt Nellie did not come today. This card is apropos of nothing but I thought it a cute card. Shall be anxious to hear how you improve with your [illegible] and 'sand bakes.' All send love to all. July 20, 1905 [illegible initials]." The postcard is addressed to Mr. H.C. Barnabee, Innisfail, Vineyard Haven, Mass.
