A postcard featuring a colorized photograph of a large brick and stone hotel. Text on the front reads "West Hotel, Minneapolis, Minn." A handwritten note on the front reads "Dear friends, It was the corner room where Mr. & Mrs. Chamberlain sat on the ledge for half and hour & were finally taken down by firemen. Hotel very little damaged. Smoke did the sad havoc. Love from all, Geo." The postcard is addressed to Mr. H.C. Barnabee, 225 Riverside Drive, New York City, and is postmarked January 13, 1906 from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
