In usurn Academia Phillipsa Exoniensis.” Loosely translated meaning reads “Devout studies. In use of Phillips Exeter Academy.” Additional text below framed crest reads in Latin “Bibliotheca Latina. Cum in bibliotheca separatism uterque nostrum ad suum stadium libellos quos vellet evolveret.” Very loosely translated reads “Latin Library. Each of us in the library opens such books as were suited to us separately.”
